What you Should Know about the New Halloween Party at WDW

If you’re considering going to one of the Halloween parties at Disney World this year, you’re probably curious how this year’s Boo Bash differs from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MSSSHP) of the past. We have a rundown of the biggest differences for you:

  • Timeframe – MSSSHP would let guests into Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm with the event start time at 7pm. Boo Bash is more like an After Hours event so you can get into Magic Kingdom at 7pm and the event starts at 9pm.

  • Trick of Treating – It’s back! No change here from past years except the process for handing out candy may incorporate more safety measures.

  • Entertainment – In years past, Disney had nighttime shows in front of Cinderella’s Castle and the big Boo to You parade. For Boo Bash, Disney is sticking with the cavalcades as far as entertainment. There will likely be multiple different cavalcades that run more frequently than a big parade so chances are you’ll see more entertainment if you hang out along the parade route.

  • Costumes – All attendees will be able to wear costumes like in year’s past…so no changes here! We’re so glad to see this come back as the people watching is such a fun part of the event.

  • Characters – It doesn’t look like Character Meet and Greets will be back for Boo Bash but you will get to see uncommon characters, villains, and classic characters in their Halloween costumes much like we’ve seen characters in the park since re-opening. This means you won’t have to spend hours of our night waiting in line to meet Dr. Facilier or Jack Skellington.

If you're considering the Halloween party at WDW this year, book a consultation and we can explore options together.
