Changes coming to Hollywood Studios
Guests should prepare to open the door, as Mike and Sulley are making their way to town!
Indeed, visitors will have the chance to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. with its addition to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Following the thrilling announcements from last summer's D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new area will feature the much-anticipated coaster—a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene—alongside dining, shopping, and an all-new theater show.
In order to accommodate the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and their friends will transition to Sunset Boulevard. But the story doesn't end there: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, partnering with some of music's biggest stars for an exciting music festival!
So many guests share a love for The Muppets, and their lively presence will perfectly complement this coaster. As the first Disney ride ever to showcase The Muppets, visitors can expect laughter, thrills, new tunes, and adventure, along with plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard.
Meanwhile, there’s still time for guests to experience a super-stretch limo to the Forum to enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and view Muppet*Vision 3D again before their final curtain calls.
