Dreamworks Landing Opening Day and new summer offerings announced
Universal Orlando announced that the new family-oriented area, Dreamworks Land will open on June 14th. Dreamworks Land will be sectioned off into three themed areas; Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda. These areas will include meet & greets, play areas, and rides.
In addition to this new family area, Universal parks are bringing in some new entertainment as well. The Universal Mega Parade will debut on July 3rd, where guests will be able to see some of their favorite movie characters appear. Then on select nights, guests will be able to watch the new lagoon show CineSational that will highlight favorite movie scores synchronized with fountains. Over at Islands of Adventure, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be lighting up the night with a new projection show on the side of Hogwart’s Castle beginning June 14th.
Another sneak peek at what is coming to Epic Universe
This week Universal gave us a view of another one of the lands that will be coming with the opening of Epic Universe, Super Mario Land.
The land will include elements that can currently be found at Universal Studios Hollywood like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, and Toadstool Cafe but also allowing guests to visit Donkey Kong Kingdom where they will be able to ride Mine-Cart Madness. The land will also include merchandise locations, meet and greets, and Power-up bands that guests can use to collect digital coins to battle against Bowser Jr.
