EPCOT celebrates its 40th Anniversary

On Saturday, October 1st, EPCOT celebrated its 40th Anniversary. The celebration began as soon as you reached the entrance to the park with Classic Epcot music that played from the speakers and a commemorative map. At the Creations Shops, EPCOT 40 merchandise could be found in the form of Loungeflys, Figment stuffies sporting 40th shirts, exclusive Pins, & special Spirit Jerseys.


At 11 am in the America Gardens Theatre, there was a special ceremony that included speeches from Disney execs, clips of Walt Disney talking about EPCOT, and performances from Mariachi Cobre, & Voices of Liberty. The night wrapped up with a special show on Spaceship Earth Beacon of Magic and a free lithograph as guests left the park.




New Food items at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

New menu items are coming to Wilderness Lodge’s Territory Lounge & Roaring Fork.


Territory Lounge is now offering some new shareable dishes such as a popcorn sampler with five different flavors, a new Artisanal Cheese and Charcuterie board, loaded baked potato and Salmon run flatbreads, Bone and Brie, and Bacon on the Wire along with a handful of new cocktails to pair with the new eats.


Starting on October 11th, Roaring Fork will offer both new savory and sweet additions. For breakfast, they will offer a Meat and Potatoes Quiche with broccoli, potatoes, ham, and gouda and a Vegetable Lover’s Quiche filled with cheese, peas, potatoes, peppers, and onions. If you prefer something sweeter for breakfast, they will offer a freshly baked Cinnamon Roll with blueberry cream cheese frosting and fresh blueberries or a Warm Grizzly Bear Claw filled with raisins and nuts.


For Lunch and Dinner, if you want something on the lighter side, you can order the Asian-Style Noodle Salad with Tofu or the Heirloom Tomato Salad with wild mushrooms, burrata cheese, and red pepper pesto. If you want something belly-filling, they are bringing in a Country-style Baked Meatloaf, or the Barbecued Brisket and Burnt ends with potato hash. And of course, we can’t forget dessert! There are four new options to try; Almond Walnut Bundt Cake, Blueberry Thyme Crumb Pie, Bear Mousse Cake, and Humphrey Bee Hive Cake.




New Tours at Disneyland

Disney announced two new tours coming to the resort “Walt’s Main Street Story” and “Holiday Time at Disneyland”.


“Walt’s Main Street Story” is a 90-minute guided walking tour for $160 per person. Tours begin tomorrow, October 6. The tour includes:

● A walking tour down Main Street, U.S.A.

● A visit to Walt’s legendary apartment

● Refreshments on the apartment patio

● Photo Pass photos of your party with complimentary digital downloads

● A commemorative lanyard


“Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort” is a 2.5-hour guided tour for $110 per person. Tours will start on November 11 alongside the holiday festivities. The tour includes:

● Reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade

● Holiday treats

● A Ride on “it’s a small world” Holiday



Disney100 Celebration kicks off at Disneyland on January 27th- The Happiest Place on Earth will receive the platinum treatment with the castle dressed in style with banners and bunting and flanked by two new fountains. A new day and nighttime entertainment will come with Magic Happens returning, a new World of Color titled “World of Color-One” and “Wondrous Journeys” in front of the castle and it’s a small world. Last and not least, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland will open early on January 27th!



Aulani’s Signature restaurant reopens with a new menu

‘AMA‘AMA, the signature Oceanside restaurant at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa will welcome guests back beginning Oct. 14.


The newly reimagined fine-dining experience features a delicious four-course, prix fixe dinner menu inspired by its location. Each course pays homage to the spirit of Hawaii, with unique flavors, high-quality ingredients, and locally sourced fish and produce. The new menu will offer dishes like the “lox” opakapaka with greens, citrus, and raw and pickled vegetables; and the savory Pork Belly with “scanlan sauce,” onion, kiawe honey and Okinawan sweet potato.


The food is not the only thing new on the menu, a globally curated wine list will also be available, as well as enhanced decor to go with the live entertainment and beautiful views.
