Get the Universal Express Pass – This is one of the perks that’s included if you stay at one of the Universal Orlando Premier Resorts. It’s a “bypass the line” pass for most of the attractions. It’s a great time-saver if you’re trying to ride a ton of rides!
Get Park-to-Park tickets – If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you definitely want the ability to hop between the parks. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is split between the two parks: Diagon Alley is in Universal Studios and Hogwarts and Hogsmeade are in Island of Adventures. The only way to experience the Hogwarts Express, which is a train that takes you between the two areas of the Wizardly World of Harry Potter, is to have park-to-park tickets
Pro tip: ride the Hogwarts Express both ways for two very different experiences!
If you have little ones, do Child Swap! – Universal Studios gives guests the ability to let everyone eligible in your party to ride the rides with Child Swap. One member stays behind with the little one(s), while the rest of the group goes through the line. The member that stayed behind will then get to skip the line and go ride it right after!
Pack a small park bag – some of the more intense attractions don’t allow you to bring your bag on the ride with you. There are lockers all over the park and near these attractions. The smaller lockers are complimentary to use so keep that park bag small if you can!
Consider a wand! – if you or anyone in your family is a big Harry Potter fan, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is PERFECT for any Hogwarts student. If you buy a wand at Ollivander’s Wand Shop (highly recommend doing the show experience there), you can use wand all over Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade to cast spells and interact with the land. It’s an incredible experience!
